This is a new Pigeon club charter in the twin cities, We have
about 10 members and hope to double that number in the years to come. We
have members from the ages of 14 and up. Our club isn't just for Asians!
We welcome anyone who is interested in the sport of Pigeon racing. The sport
of Pigeon racing is a fun hobby to get into but takes dedication and hard
work as well. Our web site is developed to inform other Pigeon Fanciers about our club and
To keep members posted about our meetings. We are also tryin' to work with
other clubs in our area to establish a relationship and build trust amongst
Other club charters..
Club News
TBA-----
Our club started in February 2001 with only a few members, which was interested in flying our birds against other clubs in our area. But its hard to get into other clubs in the twin cities area because of theft from american lofts, It was hard to determine who was stealing these birds. So we gathered some friends and decided to start a club of our own. At 1st we didn't know how to get everything together but Thanks to Gary Hegner (silver loft) who is a veteran in the sport of pigeon racing. He showed us how to get things started. So we gathered friends that we knew would be interested in joining and made some phone calls to get members...And as the months went by we were able to get enough members to call ourselves a club! We understand the issues concerning "Pigeon theft", And we are willing to work with other clubs as well as the police to bring these pigeon thieves to justice. We as pigeon fanciers need to deal with the issue and not point fingers on others who are trying to be righteous. We as hmong pigeon fanciers have been victims of this crime as well, That's the main reason we started our club. Our club maybe new but our urge to compete in this sport is the same as yours! The Asian Pigeon club doesn't support pigeon thieves and our club members are not pigeon thieves!
Message from the president
As
the president of our club, I would like to thank Gary Hegner for helping
and guiding us on the right track. Also I would like to thank Horst Hackemer
for donating birds to the older members in our club and thanks to Godfrey
and Harold for picking up the birds for us. In the future I'm hoping that
our club can race against yours as well as other clubs in the Twin Cities.
As our club grow stronger in the years to come, We will remember those of
you who have helped us become a strong club. We will try our best to weed
out the pigeon thieves in the Twin Cities as well as educate our members
about this sport. Thanks again to those who have supported us! Your friend in the sport John Lor
